CATWALK 2006, held in association with The Scunthorpe Telegraph and supported by The Parishes Shopping Centre was the biggest fashion event North Lincolnshire has ever seen! Around twenty local fashion houses participated in this dazzling event, which  featured the very latest designs for men, women, teenagers and children. There really was something for everyone, with casual, smart, designer and beachwear all featuring, along with clubwear, dancewear, workwear, sportswear, fancy dress and bridal. Also on hand were hair and make-up experts, and an exclusive jewellery collection to complete the look for summer.

Catwalk 2006 was a complete evenings entertainment, an exciting choreographed show featuring over seventy models including children from the Kirsty Skelton School of Classical Ballet, a special routine from the Performing Arts Department of Baysgarth School in Barton, and a special guest appearance by the Retained Fireman from Barton Fire Station! The audience also joined our models for the after-show party after the event, and found out how it feels to be a model on the area's most famous catwalk! Who knows, it could be your turn next time!

This fantastic event was held at The Baths Hall on Thursday 22nd June 2006 at 8pm, and the hosts for the evening were Phillip Norton and Keeley Donovan from BBC Look North.

Remember that Catwalk 2006 was a voluntary event. Profits from the show were donated to eight local good causes - Scunthorpe Mencap Society, the Cardiac Rehabilitation Group, the Voluntary Car Service, New Holland Youth Cafe, ST-ART, Scunthorpe Royal Naval Association, Barrow Concert Band, Grimsby Hospital Special Care Baby Unit and St Nicholas' School, Ulceby. So not only did everyone have a fantastic night out, over £2000 was raised for charity too!
