We're currently looking for people to help with the choregraphy of our next show, which will be in winter 2008. If you have a keen inteest in dance and fashion, then this would be a rewarding opportunity for you to join the team that produces our regions only major fashion show, whilst making lots of new friends and helping raise much needed funds for local good causes.
Rehearsals for Catwalk 2008 will start in July, but as a choreographer you will be meeting with the rest of the team in the months leading up to this, to ensure that the routines for the event are ready to show the models when they start rehearsing. You need to be able to put together simple but effective routines for the catwalk, set to music which is appropriate for the clothes and the show. You also need to be able to put these routines into practise, with volunteer models who may not have been on stage before.
You will become an integral part of the Catwalkers team, attending regular meetings - the choreography is a real team effort. You must be very committed and be able to attend all rehearsals and meetings. It can be very hard work and frustrating at times, but extremely rewarding and lots of fun. Remember, all work for Catwalkers is on a voluntary basis, we don't pay any expenses as all proceeds are donated to charity.
