How much does it cost to take part?
Absolutely Nothing! We may ask you to donate a raffle prize - all
are gratefully received. We will also ask you to display posters and
sell tickets, to help with the show's success. You may be
approached by the Scunthorpe Telegraph to advertise in a feature
shortly before the show. Whilst we appreciate you may have a
limited budget for advertising, please remember the larger the
feature, the greater the publicity for everyone.
You will also need to supply sufficient people to supervise your
clothing backstage, along with transport for the items to and from
the venue

What 'extras' can you offer me?
We may be able to offer you space to erect a display stand in the
foyer at no cost. We can sometimes offer you an advertisement in the
programme at a very reasonable rate, or you can place leaflets on the
chairs. We can also offer you the opportunity to sponsor an
individual 'scene' in the show to give you even more publicity. We may be able to offer space for a banner advertisement on our website.
Please ask for more details.

I've never heard of Catwalkers! How do I know their shows are any good?
Catwalkers have been around since 1990, and have gone from strength to strength. Major names such as Binns, BhS, Marks & Spencer, Top Shop, George from Asda and Intersport have all appeared on our catwalk, along with more specialized local stores to give an evening where there is something for everyone. We have been called "Scunthorpe's Answer to London Fashion Week"!
We use local people for models, and put them through their paces to produce a
dazzling, choreographed display of theatrical fashion and dance, and an experience for all associated with the show to remember. Experienced professionals who give their time free of charge do all lighting and staging work.
If you would like to see press cuttings about a previous show, or letters we have received, please ask. We can arrange to let you have a copy of a video of our most recent show. We can supply contact details of people from other stores who have participated in our shows if you wish.

Do you insure the clothes?
We do have cover for the clothes whilst they are under our responsibility
(see below). For cover whilst they are at the venue under your own care, or
whilst in transit, we suggest you contact your own insurers - cover may already be included, or they should be able to extend your existing cover for a nominal charge.

So, what measures do you take to protect my stock?
The security and safe keeping of your stock is of paramount importance to us, and after talking to retailers, as well as building on our years of experience, we have in place a number of measures to protect everyones interests.
The only people permitted backstage are the models, the organisers and those
members of retailer's teams who are supplied with backstage passes. There are no exceptions to this, and all entrances to the backstage area are manned by our security representatives at all times. No large bags are permitted backstage, and models are not permitted to leave the backstage area until all items have been returned and checked.
All our models are told to treat the clothes with the utmost care, to ask for help if needed with fastenings and are not scheduled to appear in consecutive scenes, to give time for changes.
We also ask that you provide sufficient people to take responsibility for the
merchandise whilst it is in the changing area. We are so confident that no damage or loss will occur whilst the clothes are on the catwalk that, in the unlikely event of any claim, we are prepared to reimburse the retailer concerned at a sun which at its lowest would be the cost price of the item or at its highest would be the current retail price; this would be agreed with you at the time.
If you feel that you have any claim on the evening then it must be brought to the Producer's or Assistant Producer's attention before leaving the venue. Any compensation paid out will ultimately reduce the amount donated to charity, so it is in all our interests to ensure the utmost care is taken by all concerned.

What else can you say to me?
We maintain a very friendly relationship with all retailers associated with our shows, and you are invited to attend rehearsals or call us at any time if you have any questions. We have raised over £25,000 for local charities, and. we hope, help to promote shopping in our area.
